CDM has won a new ICT project and $4 million contract with Department of Defence in support of site integration and project management services related to Australia’s Future Submarine Program in France.
The program is also known as SEA1000 and is set to “deliver an affordable and regionally dominant, conventional submarine capability, which will be sustainable into the foreseeable future,” as stated by the Department of Defence.
The department also stated that the appointment of CDMÂ due to our “subject matter expertise”. This stems from CDM’s former involvement with similar Program ICT projects. The contract falls under standing offer panel 2899972. Providing defence ICT infrastructure site integration and project management services.
To clarify, the project is based in France and is in collaboration with DCNS, a French naval ship building company.
“This falls under the design and mobilisation contract, signed in September 2016 DCNS and the Commonwealth. A project office for Australian staff who will move to France will be established.
Moreover, CDM’s key responsibilities as part of the contract will include completion of the design, development, integration, installation and transition-into-service. This project will be remote, focusing on the ICT infrastructure for the French-based project office.
CDM will work in collaboration with Oobe, Rutledge AV and Datavoice in terms of setting up infrastructure in relation to video teleconferencing and tele-systems.
