ICT Assisted Learning to Support Schools with Increased Demand

Queensland Goverment
Child Learning With wireless technology

ICT Assisted Learning for Queensland Education

BACKGROUND:
The objective was twofold; set up a panel focussed on delivering the infrastructure and tools which schools need to meet the increased demand and to accelerate their use of ICT in learning. Secondly, we were tasked to use installers in both network cabling and active equipment in order to reduce the costs to service rural and remote locations.

CHALLENGE:
The challenge here was we needed to equally service the networking needs of every school within the state of Queensland seamlessly. The team also needed to adhere to each school’s strict cabling standards whilst maintaining the fleet of accredited installers who needed to install and test the cables and active equipment in a single school visit.

SOLUTION:
Working with the advice office leads, we trained our fleet to of qualified data and electrical subcontractors to become accredited active equipment installers, capable of addressing any onsite networking need. CDM now looks after the servicing of all data network audits and consultations across all schools. The team offers regular strategic advice, training and equipment warranty support.
